Just The Funny, a Miami-based group of performers, takes audience input and creates live comedy sketches on the spot during each 90-minute performance. Laughing Gas is a wild, non-stop, 90-minute show that mixes sketches and interactive comedy based on random suggestions from the studio audience. Because of this, every show is different! Beginning in 1923, one man created this structure using 1,100 tons of coral. Outdoor coral furniture and solar-heated bathtubs are also on display for you to marvel at. Coral Castle is considered a natural historical site. Admission is $9.75.

The 440-acre Deering Estate at Cutler is a center for education and recreation. The Estate offers informative tours of lush natural areas where fossil bones have been found from as far back as 100,000 years and of some of South Florida's earliest buildings dating from 1896. Admission is $7 for adults; $5 for children and includes guided tours of the historic homes, main grounds, and natural areas. Nature tours and guided canoe tours to the offshore island of Chicken Key are available for an additional fee.

You can view more than 3,000 alligators and snakes on the unspoiled Florida land. You can see alligator feedings and shows, snake shows, and weird animal shows. The airboat rides are wild and will show you parts of the Everglades you wouldn’t ordinarily see. Admission is $17.00 for adults, but it’s only $11.50 if you do not want to go on the airboat. No reservations are needed. Boats leave every hour at 25 past the hour.

 

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

Eighty-three acres of tropical plants from around the world feature winding paths which contain a rain forest, a sunken garden, and a whole host of other magnificent items that nature has to offer. Light lunches and cold drinks are available at the Garden Cafe. Admission is $15 which includes a narrated tram tour, offered hourly, plus admission to the Conservatory and Whitman Tropical Fruit Pavilion. Trams run from 10a.m.-3p.m. during the week and from 10a.m.-4p.m. on the weekends.

This is a tribute to the six million Jewish victims of the Nazi terrorism during World War II. There is a large monument with life-sized sculptures and a tunnel passage with a mural of the names of the victims. As you walk through a portion of the memorial, you can hear singing from the children of the Holocaust.

This state-of-the-art, 23,000 square foot building is known for its provocative and innovative exhibitions. Venetian Pool was formed from a coral rock quarry in 1923. It is a 820,000 gallon pool which is fed with cool spring water daily and features 2 waterfalls and coral caves and grottos.
